InnerSpace Explorers Sidemount Diving
A unique InnerSpace Explorers Sidemount course took place in Athens with Achim Schloeffel & Jochen Grau.
The purpose of that training was to work further on the available
sidemount setups.
More specific, we worked on different BCD configurations depending on
the environment (open water, overhead and restrictions).
Regulators setup on different environments (open water, overhead,
restrictions), different situations (OOA in open water, while passing
restrictions) and different team - buddy positioning (single file, wing to
wing, one on top of the other).
The gas
management was another interesting part. Are you steel planning dives with the
rule of thirds??? Are you sure that it works in all circumstances while
sidemounting in several environments and conditions???
This InnerSpace
Explorers course concentrates to the exploration approach and use of sidemount,
avoiding the non sense skills and swimming around with just a different
equipment setup. The most interesting part was the critical skills session.
